Training takes place Tuesdays and Sundays all year round. We train in both lifeguarding skills such as prevention, patrolling, first aid and rescue as well as Surf Life Saving Sport.
Tuesday 6.30pm - 9pm
Fitness session for all club members. Training sessions are designed to make the most of the conditions. If it's flat we usually work on board, ski and swim, if there's surf we hone our board riding and racing skills.
A casual training session for senior club members only. Organised on a week to week basis.
Sundays - Beach 11am - 1pm
Water based session for juniors working on both sport and rescue aspects we tailor the session to the environment.
Sunday Volunteer Patrols 9am - 6pm
From the May Bank holiday we begin our voluntary lifeguard patrols through to September. You don't have to be a lifeguard to help out and you don't have to volunteer all day. We make sure we get chance to train through the day as well. It's a great way to spend a day at the beach
Tuesday 7pm - 9pm
Usually an hour of physical training under flood lights followed by theory training for Surf Life Saver and Lifeguard exams
Sundays - Swimming 9am - 10am
A pool based session to work on swim skills and fitness
Sundays - Beach 10.15am - 1pm
